PSG fly out to offer Beckham lucrative deal

Representatives from Paris Saint-Germain have flown out to Los Angeles to talk to David Beckham about joining the club, according to reports from France.
Beckham's current contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy expires at the end of MLS season in November, with talks about extending his stay at the American club still ongoing. And PSG hope to persuade the 36-year-old to join them instead when they sit down for talks on Wednesday evening, with the recent takeover by Qatari owners giving them the financial muscle to make a tempting offer.
According to Le Parisien, the club could offer Beckham a two-year contract worth between €4-5 million a year that would match the earnings of the club's current highest paid player, playmaker Javier Pastore.
The same paper reports that Beckham's wife, Victoria, has already approved a potential move to the French capital - while the club hope to secure a decision from the player by the middle of October.
PSG's director of football, Leonardo, has previously expressed an interest in signing the experienced midfielder.
"I have an English player who I really like and I worked with him. It's David Beckham - a big brand of English football," Leonardo told the BBC last month. "I coached him at Milan and we created a good relationship. He is more than a football player, but when you see him every day he trains and plays like a kid. He respects the rules, listens to you and wants the best for the team. That's why for me he is a big example. I would always consider him."
However, a number of other clubs have previously registered an interest in the most capped England outfield player ever - including Premier League sides Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers.
PSG are currently top of Ligue 1, having won six of their first nine games in the league.
