No fears for Capello over Rooney after father arrest

Fabio Capello has assured England fans that Wayne Rooney is "totally relaxed" ahead of Friday's crucial Euro 2012 qualifier with Montenegro, despite news of his father's arrest.
England know a point from their final qualifier will be enough to secure their ticket to Euro 2012, but defeat to Montenegro will take matters out of their hands.
Rooney is the talisman, having scored nine Premier League goals already this season, but preparations were disturbed by news that his father has been arrested in connection with the investigation into betting irregularities that has also seen Motherwell's Steve Jennings taken into custody.
"I spoke with him just five minutes ago," Capello said. "I found him relaxed and calm, no problem for the game we play against Montenegro.
"Absolutely none. He told me there would be no problems and that there should be a resolution in a short time."
Rooney will either operate as a lone striker against Montenegro, or potentially alongside Manchester United strike partner Danny Welbeck, with whom he has formed a lethal partership so far this season. Capello admits his final selection is not yet decided.
"I need to sleep," said the Italian. "I'll decide tomorrow morning about the forwards and the right-back. I need to choose."
With Chris Smalling unavailable for selection, England could hand a first start to Phil Jones or Kyle Walker in the right-back role to face Montenegro. Terry, who has looked to take both under his wing, is confident either player will impress if given a starter's jersey.
"That's part of being captain, when players first come into the squad you make them feel welcome," Terry explained. "But they've come in and expressed themselves anyway. If they get the opportunity, they'll put in a good performance."
Asked what it would mean for England to secure the one point needed for qualification Terry, who was skipper when England failed to qualify for Euro 2008, confessed: "This will be my dream to take England into a major tournament. But we must get there. We're full of confidence, but we must get over the line."
