Ryan Giggs has revealed he intends to seek out one more year at Manchester United.

Giggs is now 37 and the last of the generation that set United on their path to dominance in the Premier League to still be playing for the club, with the likes of Paul Scholes and Gary Neville now retired.

The Welshman's impact has lessened in recent years, but he is still viewed as an impact player by manager Sir Alex Ferguson and with his desire to play still strong - Giggs - who has scored twice this season - is hopeful a new deal can be thrashed out.

"After Christmas I will go to Ferguson's office and we'll talk about my renewal," Giggs told calciomercato.com. "I have a wonderful relationship with him. He's an exceptional person. He is always willing to listen.

"I have spoken to him for a few minutes about extending my contract for another year. I want to play on, I care for nothing more than playing for my team."
