Chamakh won't be sold - Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger maintains Marouane Chamakh has a future at the club, despite the striker's recent lack of first-team football.
Chamakh is yet to start a match in the Premier League this season, and his longest cameo from the substitutes' bench was 14 minutes against Blackburn. The Morocco international has been held back by the form of captain Robin van Persie, who has been prolific throughout 2011.
Chamakh made a promising start to life with the Gunners after joining in summer 2010, scoring ten goals in his first 21 games for the club, but since then he has struggled to make an impact, leading to suggestions he could join Marseille, Juventus or Rennes.
But Wenger says Chamakh will not be sold in January when the transfer window opens. "Marouane is not going anywhere; there is not a problem with Chamakh," he said. "He is fighting for the position with Robin van Persie who is in great form at the moment. He will get his chance, we have so many games."
Chamakh said: "I love this club and I will do all I can to be a success here with Arsenal, I am working hard to reach my level."
He is expected to figure more prominently over the coming weeks, with Arsenal in Carling Cup action and in pole position to secure qualification from Champions League Group F.
