Bendtner tells Sunderland to stick with Bruce

Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner believes sacking under-fire boss Steve Bruce would be a mistake and has called on the club's fans and board to support him.
Bruce has come under increasing pressure of late, with the Wearsiders currently sitting one place above the relegation zone having only won one game this season.
After spending big over the summer to completely overhaul his squad, Bruce is under the microscope as his signings have struggled to gel.
But while Bendtner - who also played under Bruce at Birmingham - admits results have not been good enough, he has urged Sunderland's fans to be patient with their manager.
"To be talking about sacking people so early on and not giving full support to the manager is not fair," Bendtner told the Sunderland Echo. "We've got a good set-up here and I'm sure it will turn around quickly."
