Blackburn boss Steve Kean says he has the ''full backing'' of the club's owners and vowed to turn things around as they slipped into last place in the Premier League.

Kean came under further pressure as a selection of fans stayed in the stadium and unfurled 'Kean Out' banners, also chanting for the Scot to be sacked by owners Venky's, after Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.

The 44-year-old is bullish though, as he thinks that at least the side are losing while trying to win. "The good thing from my point of view is that the majority of supporters were with us here," Kean said. "I think the performance of the players and their application shows we are all together as a group.

"I've got the full backing of the owners, so we will grind through it, and then I think when we do grind through it, we will say 'there was a spell which was not fantastic in terms of results, but we played ourselves out of it with determination, and trying to win games'.

"We didn't come here afraid - if you are playing against Tottenham you can think 'let's shut up shop and try to play on the break', but it was the opposite. I think there is a manner in which you can lose, and I thought we lost trying to win. The break will come, because I think if we keep playing like that, it has to come."
