Suarez not certain of West Brom start - Dalglish
Kenny Dalglish has revealed Luis Suarez is a doubt for Liverpool's trip to West Brom in front of the ESPN cameras on Saturday.
Suarez has undoubtedly been the star man of Liverpool's campaign to date, single-handedly turning around their Carling Cup tie in midweek, scoring twice as the Reds came from behind to beat Stoke.
However, the Uruguayan had to be substituted late in that game after an earlier collision that appeared to damage both his arm and leg. Suarez continued through the pain barrier in order to win the match for Liverpool, but Dalglish admits he has needed treatment over the past couple of days.
Dalglish takes his side to the home of former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson this weekend, and with Andy Carroll still searching for his goalscoring touch, he will want Suarez to come through a late test in order to start at the Hawthorns.
"He's had a bit of treatment, we'll see how he is," Dalglish told reporters on Friday. "He's had a tough night [at Stoke] so we'll see how he is before tomorrow."
Liverpool have been playing some fine football in their recent matches, but the Stoke match was their first sign of reward after frustrating draws with Manchester United and Norwich. The Reds had enough chances to win both matches, and Dalglish admits there has been greater focus on hitting the target.
"I suppose everybody's a bit more aware of it - it wasn't just the game against Norwich," the Liverpool boss explained. "We had it the game before as well against United when we should have won the game but missed some chances and the goalkeeper made some good saves.
"The most important thing for us is to be creating chances. As long as we're creating chances and getting them on target, if the keeper's good enough he'll save them and if not we'll get our reward with a goal.
"We can't control everything. But again on Tuesday, we created another six good chances in the first half, and we got what we deserved by winning the match."
