Suarez the best in the Premier League - Carroll
Luis Suarez has earned rave reviews for his superb start to the season with Liverpool and has been described as the best player in the Premier League by strike-partner Andy Carroll.
Suarez has helped himself to four goals in the league this season and showed his versatility by creating both goals in the win over West Brom. The Uruguayan won a penalty that Charlie Adam converted and then set Carroll free to bag the crucial second.
The Premier League is filled with star names, with the likes of Arsenal's Robin van Persie, Manchester United's Wayne Rooney and Manchester City pair David Silva and Sergio Aguero leading lights, but Carroll is convinced they are all below Suarez in the pecking order.
"Luis is a great player who works so hard for the team and it's nice to have him up top with me," Carroll told the club's official website. "Luis makes it easy playing alongside him. I think we played well together and hopefully that will carry on.
"He's fantastic to have in the squad. He makes chances and scores goals himself so he's a great all-round player and he showed that again.
"I couldn't name a better player in the Premier League than Luis."
