Arsene Wenger has warned his Arsenal players not to get carried away by their win over Chelsea on Saturday.

The Gunners got their season firmly back on track with a 5-3 victory at Stamford Bridge, but Wenger has reminded his players that it is merely three points and they must now focus on their Champions League clash against Marseille.

After a disastrous start to the season, Arsenal have now won seven of their last eight matches in all competitions are have moved within three points of the top four. Wenger believes the belief has returned to his squad, and admitted the result at Stamford Bridge will have gone some way to boosting his side's confidence.

"In their heads certainly there was uncertainty about whether they can win a big game," Wenger said. "I am not the only one who has an influence on the team. The environment does as well - if you hear ever day you are bad, at the end of the week you will start to believe it.

"The team have gone from one that was going to be relegated to one that is now supposedly unbeatable. We have still got some progress to make, but I am positive because I believe in the quality and I see as well amongst the players a huge desire to improve and have good solidarity inside the squad.

"After [Chelsea] we have won nothing. We must just use it as a springboard to go further towards our target."
