FA denies rift with Capello over Terry
The FA has insisted there was no clash with Fabio Capello over John Terry's inclusion for the upcoming friendlies with Spain and Sweden.
Terry is currently the subject of investigations by the Football Association and Metropolitan Police after he was alleged to have racially abused Anton Ferdinand during Chelsea's defeat at QPR.
There had been speculation that Terry could be left out of the games against Spain and Sweden, which take place at Wembley on November 12 and 15, but he was selected by Capello who emphatically stated his captain was innocent until proven guilty.
It has been suggested the FA clashed with Capello over Terry's inclusion, but this notion has been shot down by Club England managing director Adrian Bevington.
"There is a lot of conjecture about this particular subject," Bevington told Sky Sports News. "There were some storeis in certain media outlets which suggested there might have been a disagreement between Fabio and the FA. I was in all of the conversations and there was nothing of the sort.
"We can't comment on any specific issues, I think everyone is clear on that. But what we can say is we are dealing with allegations and therefore Fabio was perfectly entitled, and we agreed with this, that while allegations are in place there is nothing proven against anybody and Fabio has picked John Terry and we support that decision."
