Kolo Toure fined six weeks' wages

Manchester City have fined defender Kolo Toure six weeks' wages following a disciplinary hearing into his failed drugs test.
In May the World Anti-Doping Agency handed Toure a six-month ban, which was backdated to March 2. He tested positive for a banned substance after taking one of his wife's slimming pills in a bid to control his weight.
City launched a probe into the incident last month and have meted out a punishment that is expected to cost Toure around £740,000.
A City statement read: "Following the conclusion of an internal disciplinary process, Manchester City can confirm that Kolo Toure has received a fine of six weeks' wages which relates to doping offences committed by him earlier this year.
"Kolo accepts the decision and he and the club now wish to draw a line under this matter and focus on the season ahead."
Since his suspension expired in September, Toure has made two substitute appearances for City in the Premier League. Montenegro international Stefan Savic was preferred for the weekend match at QPR in the absence of captain Vincent Kompany, who was suspended.
Ivory Coast international Toure, whose brother Yaya also plays for City, joined the club for £16 million from Arsenal in summer 2009.
