Niko Kranjcar has insisted he needs a "decent amount of games" to persuade him not to seek a move away from Tottenham.

The talented Croatian midfielder is on the comeback trail from injury and has seen his team-mates put the club in the title shake-up.

Kranjcar is convinced Tottenham have the talent to mount a title challenge and wants to play a part rather than seek a move away.

"I have been out for too long to think about a move," he told Sky Sports News. "I said at the beginning of the season that I am happy here and if I get a decent amount of games I will continue to be here."

Looking at the title race, Kranjcar feels the Christmas period will be an indicator as to Tottenham's credentials.

He said: "I do believe we can challenge for it. The results in the previous games have proven that. We are not used to winning the league but the way we are playing and the quality we have in the squad, I believe we can push for it.

"The Christmas period is going to be massive for us and if we can stay in the mix then sure."
