Spurs interested but Blues still lead Cahill race - Coyle

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has revealed that Tottenham's unwillingness to meet the asking price for Gary Cahill means Chelsea are still in pole position to sign the defender.
Cahill, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been in negotiations with Chelsea about a January transfer, after the Stamford Bridge club agreed a fee with the Trotters.
However, the two parties have so far been unable to reach an agreement about Cahill's wages, potentially opening the door for another club to swoop in and sign the England international.
Tottenham have long been known to be interested in Cahill - having reportedly tried to sign him at the end of the summer transfer window - and Redknapp also revealed on Friday that he is hoping to make two big name signings this month.
However, Coyle has confirmed that Spurs' preference for a part-exchange deal has meant the two clubs are yet to reach a deal.
"Tottenham have always been admirers," Coyle said. "But they are more interested in swapping players. We could probably never afford their salaries.
"We have agreed a fee with Chelsea and we honour our word."
