Terry calms concerns about knee injury
John Terry has played down his latest knee scare and is confident of being fit for Chelsea's Premier League game against Sunderland on Saturday.
Terry injured his right knee colliding with the post while making a goal-line clearance in Sunday's 4-0 FA Cup win over Portsmouth.
The Chelsea and England captain was able to continue, but the swelling sustained by the blow added to the left-knee problem that has been troubling the defender recently.
The issue forced Terry to undergo a late fitness test ahead of Sunday's FA Cup match, amid reports he needed an injection to get through the previous Monday's victory at Wolves.
Terry told Chelsea TV: "I have been struggling with the other knee but I clattered into the post with my right knee. All is fine. It's a little bit swollen but I am sure with the couple of days off we have, it will heal.''
Meanwhile, Gary Cahill is reportedly on the brink of completing his protracted move from Bolton to Chelsea on Wednesday, with the centre-back said to be set to join for a £7 million fee.
