Mario Balotelli's agent has hinted the forward could extend his stay at Manchester City, claiming his client is too big for Serie A.

Balotelli had a tough first season in the Premier League, while his off-field antics - highlights being a fire in his bathroom after a firework prank and his penchant for handing out money in the streets - have raised eyebrows. Despite the turbulence he has produced a string of excellent displays this season.

He has spoken of his loneliness in Manchester and has been linked with both Milan clubs, but his agent feels they do not have the financial might to make a move.

"Mario feels well in Manchester and perhaps he'll extend his contract," agent Mino Raiola is quoted as saying in The Sun. "My feeling is it won't be easy for him to go to Serie A. He's too 'big' for Italy."

Commenting on speculation linking Balotelli with Inter and AC, Raiola said: "If Inter and AC Milan have difficulties finding £25m for Tevez, how can they pay £60m for Balotelli."
