Plays of the Day: Anything Henry can do, Scholes can too

Paul Scholes, he (and United) score goals
Anything you can do I can do a game later, seemed to be the message from Paul Scholes to Thierry Henry after he marked his second United appearance since exiting retirement with a goal. The little genius struck on the stroke of half-time for United, the Red Devils netting for a record 41st consecutive home game in the Premier League.
Rolling back the years
At 37 years and 59 days, Scholes' goal for United also earned him his own personal record, taking him past Bryan Robson as the oldest English player to score for the Red Devils in the Premier League. He is also the oldest scoring, ginger-haired, right-footed midfielder under the height of 6ft to score for United.
Lampard the new Henry...
Frank Lampard's opener for Chelsea against Sunderland booked him entry to an exclusive Premier League club. The goal was the 100th different Premier League game in which he has scored. Only two other players have managed that feat: Thierry Henry (123) and Alan Shearer (115). The goal itself owed everything to Fernando Torres, who smashed a brilliant volley against the bar to allow Lampard to tap home the rebound.
You don't beat Bogdan from there
Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan was the laughing stock of the Premier League a week or two ago when Everton keeper Tim Howard beat him from all of 80 yards. However, we all know that Bogdan is a much more difficult customer to overcome from a mere 12, and certainly Wayne Rooney couldn't find the key when his first-half spot-kick was brilliantly saved at Old Trafford. That is now four misses in his last eight penalties for Rooney.

The worst defence in the Premier League
You may not think it, but Tottenham officially boast the worst defensive record in the Premier League... if you base it on every game since the Premier League was launched. Steven Fletcher's shock goal for Wolves at White Hart Lane meant Spurs became the first team in Premier League history to concede 1,000 goals, something that should surely be pointed out if Harry Redknapp goes for the England job.
Striking the right note
You wonder if David Moyes went into Saturday's game at Aston Villa knowing that at some point Everton would need to chase a goal. Looking down their substitutes list, you suddenly realised: "Victor Anichebe - striker, Denis Stracqualursi - striker, James McFadden - striker, Magaye Gueye - striker, Apostolos Vellios - striker." Makes you wonder what would have happened had Phil Neville got injured.
A difference of opinion!
Blackburn striker Yakubu barely ever enters into a tackle in English football, so you'll understand how much of a surprise it was when he got a straight red card against Fulham. Sky Sports News' Alan McInally claimed it was a shocker by the ref, it was a "50-50 challenge" that was well contested by both men. The BBC claimed it was "nasty", a tackle that saw studs "raked down" Danny Murphy's leg. So which one was it? You decide.
Papering over cracks?
Stoke picked up an excellent point by parking the bus at Anfield, but the fact is that the 0-0 draw means they extend their winless run at Liverpool. Stoke have never won away in the league against Liverpool in 49 games (drawing 10 and losing 39), a top-flight record for winless games at a single club.
