Granero agent hints at Liverpool interest

Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero could leave the Bernabeu for Liverpool, according to his agent.

Despite his talent, Granero has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by at Real this season - the former Spain Under-21 international facing stiff competition from Mesut Ozil and Kaka in his favoured attacking midfield role.

And while Liverpool also currently have a host of midfield options, his agent Teofilo Lazaro believes the Spaniard would be interested in a move to Anfield.

"He's finding his chances limited at Real. He's keen for a move away - possibly to Liverpool," Lazaro told the International Business Times. "If he can't play at Madrid then he'll play somewhere else. It's as simple as that."

Since Kenny Dalglish was reappointed Liverpool's manager in January 2011, he has signed Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson to strengthen the club's midfield options.

It remains unclear how interested the Merseyside club would be in moving for Granero.
