Beckham set to re-sign with LA Galaxy

Los Angeles Galaxy will confirm they have re-signed David Beckham on Thursday, according to widespread reports.

Beckham, 36, will commit to a sixth season in Major League Soccer after rejecting a move to PSG earlier this month, claiming he did not want to unsettle his family with a move from the USA to Europe.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star is in line to represent Great Britain at this summer's London Olympics and needs to be playing regularly.

Beckham ended his existing five-year deal with LA Galaxy with an MLS Cup title in November, his best season since joining the Galaxy in 2007.

Neither the Galaxy or Beckham's management would confirm the reports but a press conference is expected on Thursday to confirm the deal.
