Former QPR manager Neil Warnock says that he is looking forward to taking a break from the game and is not planning any return to management yet.

Warnock was sacked on January 8 after a poor run of results that had seen the club slip down to 17th in the Premier League table.

He was replaced by Mark Hughes, but while he was happy to talk about the likes of Adel Taarabt and Kieron Dyer, he preferred not to speak about the new man in charge at Loftus Road and instead focused on his own future.

"I've done ten years work in the last 22 months," he told ESPN. "The amount that I've had to deal with behind the scenes as well as on the pitch it's been all time consuming and I think you need to take a break.

"I'm going to be doing quite a bit of media work over the next few months and I'm looking forward to being able to say what I like, without getting fined by the FA. At the moment, though, I've just got to let things calm down a bit before I can make a decision over what I do next [in management]."
