Johnson refusal scuppered Fulham's Rodallega deal

Fulham and Wigan had agreed to a swap deal that would have taken Hugo Rodallega to Craven Cottage on Tuesday, before Andy Johnson scuppered the deal.
Fulham boss Martin Jol thought he had landed Colombia international Rodallega in a part-exchange deal that also involved around a £4 million fee, but the transfer broke down because Johnson refused to move to the DW Stadium.
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan told ESPNsoccernet on a busy transfer deadline for the club: "I've no idea why Johnson said no, I think he didn't fancy coming north.
"It would have been a good deal for us, but that's football."
