United maintain position in football rich list

Manchester United remain the world's third richest football club - and the Premier League's wealthiest - following the release of Deloitte's league table of the global game's foremost financial forces.
Spanish giants Real Madrid topped the order for the seventh year in succession thanks to revenue of €479.5 million (£401.9m), with La Liga and European Champions Barcelona a close second. United, who recorded a total of €367m (£307.6m), German club Bayern Munich and Arsenal with a figure of €251.1m (£210.5m) completed the top five, with the rankings based on data from the 2010-11 season.
Chelsea (sixth) and Liverpool (ninth) ensured the presence of four English clubs inside the top ten with AC Milan and Inter Milan, in seventh and eighth respectively, representing Serie A.
Last season's Champions League semi-finalists Schalke rounded out the top ten, although the report's authors believe the German club will be replaced by Manchester City when the 2011-12 figures are counted thanks to the Premier League club's substantial financial backing and Champions League participation.
The top seven spots remained as they had been the previous year, with Liverpool moving down one position.
Nine of the top 20 clubs, which included six English sides, experienced double digit revenue growth for the 2010-11 period, with the entire top 20 earning a combined €4.4 billion (£3.7bn), representing a rise of three per cent on the previous year.
