United and City get green light for Gaitan chase

Manchester rivals United and City have been alerted that mutual target Nicolas Gaitan is set to be up for sale this summer.
The highly-rated midfielder has attracted interest from a host of Premier League suitors, though the two Manchester clubs are thought to be vying for the 23-year-old's signature.
Sir Alex Ferguson liked what he saw when United and Benfica met in the Champions League, while City had eyes on the player during Benfica's win over Maritimo last week.
The Portuguese side, who value their star man at €30 million, are keen to raise funds in the summer - even if that means letting their best players go.
Club president Luis Filipe Vieira said: "The sale of players is the priority for Benfica but only if it is helping the club.
"Our aim is to break even and make around €50 million in the summer through sales."
