I won't leave Tottenham in the lurch - Redknapp
Harry Redknapp has promised he will not make a swift exit from Tottenham and leave their Premier League title challenge at a crucial time in the season.
Redknapp saw his side smash five past Newcastle in a fantastic performance at White Hart Lane on Saturday, thanks to goals from Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Louis Saha(2), Niko Kranjcar and Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Spurs manager's name was sung throughout the match, with fans making it clear they do not want Redknapp to leave the club in order to take over at England. Redknapp admits he would have to consider the potential offer from the FA, but promised he would not abandon his current club.
"They've been great to me and I've enjoyed every minute of being at Tottenham," Redknapp told ESPN. "We all appreciate each other. The chairman's been good for me and I've been good for him.
"We just have to keep focusing on the next game, beginning with Stevenage in the cup. We've got some big games to come.
"If it ever happened and the offer came you'd have to consider what is the right thing to do. At the moment I'm focusing purely on Tottenham.
"I'm not going to leave them in the lurch, things are going really well. The fans are great, so I've just got to keep doing the job I'm doing."
