Top four spot over Carling Cup triumph - Bellamy

Craig Bellamy has confessed Liverpool would rather finish in the top four in the Premier League table this season than win the Carling Cup.
The Reds head to Wembley on Sunday to take on one of Bellamy's former clubs, Cardiff, for the first major piece of silverware of the season. Victory would represent Liverpool's first major trophy since 2006.
Kenny Dalglish's men are also going well in the FA Cup, booking a quarter-final against Stoke, but Bellamy admits a top-four finish in the league would trump both competitions.
"They (Cardiff) have promotion to go for, we have Champions League to go for. We're still in the FA Cup. Both teams have got so much to play for this season," the Wales international said.
"Would we choose Champions League over Carling Cup? I think we would. Would Cardiff choose entering the Premier League over the Carling Cup? I think they would as well.
"Cup competitions are a big bonus really but we are looking at Champions League and maybe a win might help us and push us towards what we aim to achieve."
