Berbatov will be a United player next season - Ferguson

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has given a clear indication of his confidence in the abilities of Dimitar Berbatov, revealing the Bulgarian will not be leaving this summer.
Nobody outscored Berbatov in the Premier League last season as the former Tottenham forward helped fire United to a 19th Premier League crown. However, the season ended with him being overlooked for the Red Devils' Champions League final with Barcelona.
This season there has been even more frustration for Berbatov, who has made just 10 league appearances. Impressively, he has still managed a return of seven goals in those games.
The enigmatic forward was linked with a move away from England during the January transfer window, as well as a surprise move back to Tottenham. In the end the window eventually passed without his departure, so it was anticipated that Ferguson might just be keeping his striking options solid until the end of the season.
However, when updating the media on the status of his squad on Wednesday Ferguson addressed both Berbatov and Michael Owen, another fighting for a place in United's forward line. And the Scot revealed Berbatov is in his plans already for the next campaign.
"Michael Owen's training well," Ferguson stated, ahead of United's Europa League second leg against Ajax. "With his record of injuries we need to make sure he does a full preparation before he joins us. I would think he'd join us in about two weeks."
Asked about Berbatov, Ferguson commented: "He's fit and he'll be here next year."
