Tevez to make return in reserves

Manchester City have confirmed to ESPNsoccernet that Carlos Tevez will begin his comeback on Tuesday, which puts in him line for a remarkable Premier League return as early as next week at Swansea.
Tevez will make a relatively gentle competitive appearance for Manchester City in a reserve League Cup tie against Preston.
A City spokesperson said: "There is a likelihood that Carlos Tevez will play in this reserve game."
Tevez could be named among the substitutes at the Liberty Stadium. His return could prove vital as the squad is stretched by the demands of the Europa League. Tevez is not registered for the competition so would offer the chance for rotation of the strike force in the Premier League.
The Tevez comeback game was scheduled for Chorley's Victory Park on Wednesday, but City changed the venue to their training ground and brought it forward, possibly to give Tevez more recovery time before next weekend.
Manchester City also confirmed to ESPNsoccernet that the club were concerned at the state of Chorley's pitch, but also about the inevitable media circus that Tevez's return will attract.
The club are not making this a "behind closed doors" game, as there is access to the training ground, but neither is this a game which is open to the paying public.
