Wenger calls on Arsenal to deal in RvP

Arsene Wenger has called on Arsenal to do all they can to persuade Robin van Persie to sign a new contract.
Van Persie has been in blistering form this season and his 24th and 25th goals of the Premier League campaign, the second in the final minute, lifted the Gunners to a 2-1 win over Liverpool.
The Dutchman has 18 months remaining on his contract and has put all talks on hold until the end of the season. The Gunners board will be working hard over the summer, with Wenger's words spelling out the importance Van Persie is to the cause.
"We will do anything possible to keep him," Wenger said. "I cannot say much more because I have said that many times.
"I am very proud that he has grown, having seen the boy arrive here timid and today being the player he is and the leader of the team he has become.
"He is playing under big pressure in every game because he knows he has to score - that is excellent development not only as a player but as a human being.
"He is up there among the best players in the world."
