Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has suggested he will throw the book at Mario Balotelli if reports of his late-night antics prove to be true.

Balotelli played and scored in City's 2-0 win over Bolton, but he was in the headlines for the wrong reasons after it was claimed he was seen partying on the eve of the game.

Mancini was not aware of the incident until the afternoon and is planning to hold talks with his striker on Sunday. And if true, the Italian forward can expect a heavy fine.

"Missing four or five chances because he went to sleep very late," Mancini said in reference to the report about Balotelll being pictured coming out of a night club in the early hours of Friday. "I have not read the newspaper.

"Tomorrow I will speak with him. I am disappointed. Tomorrow if it is true I will do the maximum fine that we can.

"We prepared the game with Mario, he was fresh, but the next time he will go in the stand.

"I don't like because it is not correct, professional behaviour."
