Scholes sits out United training

Paul Scholes was a notable absence from Manchester United's training session on Wednesday morning, as Sir Alex Ferguson's side prepared for their Europa League last-16 tie with Athletic Bilbao.
Having started United's Premier League win over Tottenham on Sunday the veteran midfielder was rested by Ferguson.
Midfielder Tom Cleverley did train, as the 22-year-old looks to make his return from an ankle injury which has sidelined him since the 2-1 Europa League defeat to Ajax just under a fortnight ago.
Chris Smalling was also a participant, having cut his head whilst on international duty with England last week, and Antonio Valencia trained alone as he continues his recovery from a hamstring issue.
Michael Owen was another absentee, while youngster Paul Pogba trained with the reserves amid continued speculation he has reached an agreement to join Juventus in the summer.
