David Silva admits that April's Manchester derby will likely be decisive in determining where this season's Premier League title is destined.

Ahead of Sunday's matches, when City travel to Swansea and United host West Brom, the former boast a two-point lead over the latter with 11 matches to play.

The two rivals lock horns at the City of Manchester Stadium on April 30, and Spanish midfielder Silva is wary of the importance of a potentially crunch fixture.

He told the Sun on Sunday: "The Manchester derby in April will be very important. If we maintain a two-point advantage going into it and increase our lead to five by beating United it will calm us all - but we know it will a very complicated game.

"United defeated us in the FA Cup after we won 6-1 at Old Trafford, so revenge will be in the air. United have more experience of these situations than us but I am convinced City offered the better game. Fans enjoy watching our attacking play and we deserve to be the league leaders.

"After my two seasons in England I know there is no such thing as an easy match. Now each one is a like a cup final because both ourselves and United need all the victories we can get because, in the end, just one point could be decisive."

Silva also revealed he will host a "mad festival" for his team-mates should they wrestle the Premier League title off the Red Devils.

He said: "There is only one fear in our squad - my promise that I will organise a mad festival if we win the Premier League. We have Sergio [Aguero] and his arrival this season has increased the 'Spanish' flavour.

"We also have the 'king of anecdotes' in Mario [Balotelli], who is so unpredictable both on the field and the street - and then we have plenty of controversy in Carlos. Actually we all know he is a big player and we are glad to have Carlos [Tevez] back. He really could help us in the decisive final stage of the season."
