Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has ruled himself out of the running to become Chelsea manager.

The charismatic German has been mooted as a possible successor to Andre Villas-Boas at Stamford Bridge.

While Klopp admits he is honoured to be linked with the same job as the likes of Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho and Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, he insists he is happy with life in the Bundesliga.

"I can turn them down straight away," he told Sky television. "I will not be moving there. But I do think it is cool that I am being named in the same breath as Mourinho and Guardiola.

"That is enough for me - that is already a personal triumph, but I am not available, sorry."

Klopp has impressed since taking over at Dortmund in May 2008 and led them to their first Bundesliga title since 2002 last season, and they remain on course for a league and cup Double this term.

However, it appears he will not be testing his skills in the Premier League any time soon, with Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke stressing that Klopp would not be leaving the Westfalenstadion.

"Chelsea do not bother me one bit, because we have a contract with Jurgen Klopp until the end of 2016, and he will not be going anywhere," Watzke told the Daily Mail.
