Sergio Aguero has rubbished suggestions he is trying to engineer a move to Real Madrid, with the forward insisting he is happy at Manchester City.
City boss Roberto Mancini used some of the huge wealth at his disposal to bring Aguero to Eastlands from Atletico Madrid last summer and the £35m has proved money well spent, as the Argentine has made a seamless transition to life in England.
It has been suggested Real a plotting a move for Aguero, amid suggestions he has become unsettled, but the player has insisted the reports are without foundation.
"None of the stories about Real Madrid have come from me and the City fans can rest assured I am happy here," Aguero is quoted as saying in the Sun.
"First and foremost, the major aim is to win the league title this season. Then I want to stay here for a long time after that.
"I'm very, very happy here. From the moment I arrived, everyone has treated me really well.
"It's down to me to repay that kindness and good feeling I've had from everyone with some performances out on the field."
