Tottenham 3-1 Bolton

Tottenham booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a win over Bolton, while Everton claimed victory over Everton to reach the last four.

Both Tottenham and Bolton players showed their support to the fans for the way they have pulled together to offer support to Fabrice Muamba by donning t-shirts thanking the fans during the warm-up.

Bolton had weathered wave after wave of Tottenham attacks, with goalkeeper Adam Bogdan in inspired form, when Ryan Nelsen finally breached the dam with a 74th minute back-post header.

Three minutes later, Jermain Defoe teed up Gareth Bale for the second to effectively settle a quarter-final tie that was rearranged after Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest in the original fixture.

Kevin Davies came off the bench to score a late consolation goal for Bolton but Louis Saha applied the coup de grace for Spurs, beating Bogdan from 25 yards with the final kick of the game.

Merseyside will be descending on Wembley as Everton booked an FA Cup semi-final with Liverpool courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Sunderland..

Nikica Jelavic netted the first and he had a hand in the second, with David Vaughan making a mess of clearing the ball and turning it into his own net.

Jelavic fired the visitors ahead in their quarter-final replay with 24 minutes gone, but then passed up a series of opportunities to add to his tally on a night when the men from Merseyside were more than a match for their hosts.

It took a 56th-minute own goal from Black Cats substitute David Vaughan to ease David Moyes' men further clear, and although the Wearsiders battled all the way to the whistle in front of a boisterous crowd of 43,140, there was no way back.
