Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has expressed fears that Luka Modric could have his head turned by talk of interest from Manchester City.

The current season is reaching fever pitch, but talk is already being made about the summer transfers and City boss Roberto Mancini spoke in glowing terms of Modric this week.

With money no obstacle for City, Redknapp is aware Spurs could face a fight to keep hold of Modric - although they did resist strong interest from Chelsea last summer.

But with City sure to be able to up Modric's wage packet, Redknapp fears a summer of uncertainty.

"I would think if someone is going to offer him £200,000 a week it could probably turn his head a little, yes!" Redknapp said.

"Only Luka knows what he wants to do with his life.

"We want to keep him here. We need to keep him. We love him. He is a fantastic player."
