Recovering Lucas happy with progress

Lucas Leiva has admitted his frustration at being forced to watch Liverpool's recent slump from the sidelines, but remains on track to return to action next season.
After four seasons at Anfield, Lucas was enjoying his best spell of form when his season was cut short by a cruciate ligament injury to his left knee in November.
After going under the knife at the end of 2011, the Brazil international returned to Liverpool, where he has continued his rehabilitation at the club's Melwood training ground.
"It's going well," he told the club's official website. "The knee has responded very well after surgery. There's still a long way to go, but everything is going as planned and the doctors are very happy with my progress."
While he has been unable to make an impact on the pitch, Lucas has attended all of the Reds' home games, but he admits it is frustrating to be sat on the sidelines.
"At the home games, I am always involved. I haven't missed one," he said. "It's important. On a daily basis here at Melwood, I think it's important to be around and try to send my teammates a positive message and help in any way I can - and I am always there at Anfield to support them.
"It's my first injury since I came to Liverpool, so it's a bit frustrating because I would like to be on the pitch and help my teammates."
