Benfica eye Fabio signing

Portuguese side Benfica are keen on bringing Manchester United defender Fabio in on loan, with the player's agent claiming he has already spoken to Sir Alex Ferguson about a switch.
United manager Ferguson confirmed over the weekend that he would send the 21-year-old out on a loan spell next season to gain valuable experience, after the Brazilian struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford this year.
The Premier League leaders are believed to be keen on bringing Benfica's Nicolas Gaitan to Old Trafford, with Fabio potentially forming part of any deal, and the player's agent Cassiano Pereira has discussed the likelihood of a transfer this summer.
"There's a great possibility that Fabio will head to Benfica," Pereira was quoted as saying in O Jogo.
"Alex Ferguson has already spoken to both me and Fabio about this possibility, and we should have a clear position on the matter in the next two to three weeks."
O Jogo also reported on the possibility of an option to buy Fabio - who has two years remaining on his United contract - being inserted into any deal.
