Ronaldo suffered boot theft prior to Bayern game

Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo was left fuming after three pairs of his football boots were stolen prior to the first leg of their Champions League game against Bayern Munich.
Ronaldo, along with team-mates Mesut Ozil and Karim Benzema, allegedly had belongings thieved from the away changing room prior to the game at the Allianz Arena - which Bayern would go on to win 2-1.
Police are investigating the incident, but in the meantime a local radio station took it upon themselves to issue an appeal to help Ronaldo find some new shoes - with a shoe-maker subsequently donating three pairs of 'traditional Bavarian brogues'.
"Hospitable people live here in Bavaria," a message sent with the delivery read. "We may steal maypoles, but not shoes. We therefore wanted to replace what you lost.
"Here are a pair of genuine Bavarian brogues for you. With them you won't be able to score any goals, but you will look really snazzy."
