I'm not playing as well as before, claims Torres

Fernando Torres believes he was playing better earlier in the season, despite hitting his first Chelsea hat-trick on Sunday.
Torres took the match ball home after Chelsea hammered QPR 6-1 Stamford Bridge, as the Blues kept their hopes of a top-four finish alive.
Having struggled for goals and confidence since his £50 million move from Liverpool in January 2011, Torres appears to be rediscovering his goalscoring touch, with four goals in his last two matches. However, he feels his performances have not improved in recent weeks.
"In the past I was feeling very good, very sharp, playing well, but I couldn't score," Torres told Sky Sports. "Now I feel I'm not playing as well as before, but I am scoring goals which is the important thing for the strikers."
Chelsea's win saw them close within a point of Newcastle in the race to finish in the top four, and with the FA Cup final next weekend and the Champions League final later next month, Torres is desperate for Chelsea to finish the season on a high.
"We knew we needed to finish in the top four and win all the games for rest of the season," he said. "I am very happy with three [goals], hopefully the first [hat-trick] of many, but the more important thing for me is the team looks like they are playing their best football of the season with important games to come."
