Tottenham midfielder Sandro believes the club can overhaul their north London rivals Arsenal in the race for third position in the Premier League.

Spurs currently sit four points behind the Gunners and can move to within a point of Arsene Wenger's side if they win their game in hand at Bolton on Wednesday evening.

"The league is getting very tight now and the last three games - Bolton, Villa and Fulham - will all be like cup finals for us," Sandro said. "We can catch Arsenal and finish third. This is my dream and the whole team as well.

"We know we could finish fourth and not get in the Champions League if Chelsea win against Munich in the final so that makes finishing third extra important."

Sandro featured strongly in Spurs' 2-0 win over Blackburn on Sunday, despite being sick during the first half.

"I was ill in the first half but I knew I just had to play on. It is difficult getting a place in midfield," he said. "I ate too much before the game. The doctors have also told me I am drinking too much fluid before the match so I have to cut back."
