Vertonghen admits Tottenham interest

Jan Vertonghen has admitted there is "something happening" with Tottenham, but the Ajax defender claims he has other irons in the fire.
The Belgian seems set to leave Amsterdam in the summer and he has been strongly linked with a move to White Hart Lane.
Arsenal are also believed to hold an interest and it is likely the defender will have options to assess in the summer.
"I have a choice," he said. "There's something happening with Tottenham, but there are other clubs interested.
"For me, it is important to get regular playing time. I also need a stable club."
He has also been linked with Barcelona, but he is tempted by a tilt at the Premier League.
"In England, there is a growing realisation that you can go far with good football. Arsenal started it and now you also see clubs like Newcastle United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur playing good football," he said.
