Cisse content despite Toon CL failure

Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse has moved to reassure fans that he is more than happy to be playing Europa League football next season.
Cisse has been a prolific goal-getter ever since joining the Magpies from Freiburg in January, and he finished the most recent Premier League season with 13 strikes in 13 starts. His record was not enough to fire Newcastle into the Champions League, however, and they will play in the Europa League in 2012/13.
Toon boss Alan Pardew has admitted that he faces a fight to keep hold of the club's star names, leading to speculation that a significant bid could prise Cisse away from St James' Park.
However, Cisse has confirmed he sees himself staying with his current employers next term.
Cisse told the Evening Chronicle: "I hope to continue scoring goals for Newcastle next season. I'm looking forward to playing in the Europa League. We wanted to play in the Champions League, but we can be very happy with what we have achieved this season.
"It's good to be in Europe next season, but I'm sorry for the supporters. We wanted to give them Champions League football. That was our objective. We are in the Europa League and I thank God for the season I have had. But we are still a little disappointed."
