Sergio Aguero is keen to see strikers Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko remain at Manchester City, after speculation over the duo's future at the Premier League champions.

Both have been linked with moves away from the Etihad Stadium, although City manager Roberto Mancini was quoted on Tuesday as saying Balotelli would remain at the club '101%'.

Dzeko's future remains decidedly less clear, but one thing that is certain is Aguero's desire to continue playing alongside the pair when City defend their title next season.

"In terms of what their personal decisions are, it's nothing to do with me," the Argentine forward said. "I hope they stay because both of them as individuals are great players and have brought a lot to the side during the season.

"Let's hope they do stay because it would be a good thing for City, the quality they bring to the club."

Aguero is also keen to see some additions to the City dressing room in order for the club to be best equipped for the challenge of holding onto the trophy they won on the last day of the season.

"The main thing is that we carry on along the same lines we have so far," he said. "It's always great when you're strengthening. But obviously we've got a good squad here.

"Let's see how many people we can keep from the current squad and, if we can improve on it, great."
