Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has expressed his disbelief at what he views as Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's interference in team matters.

As the two sides prepare to meet in Saturday's Champions League final the Bayern boss revealed his incredulity at how former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas was required to explain his tactics to the Russian billionaire.

"I would not expect to have to explain my tactics," 67-year-old Heynckes, who won the Champions League when in charge of Real Madrid in 1998, said in the Sun.

"A manager can never accept someone at the top influencing decisions about the team.

"That sort of thing would have to stop. You can have success at one point and even win the European Cup.

"But to instigate developments and form a team, you need a different philosophy."
