Dalglish returns with future still unclear
Kenny Dalglish has returned to England following a meeting with Liverpool's owners in America with doubts still surrounding his future at the club.
Dalglish and his assistant Steve Clarke flew out to Boston for a pre-arranged meeting with Fenway Sports Group and reports surfaced that the Scot had vacated his position.
There was silence from Liverpool on the subject of whether Dalglish had left and having delivered his report on the season to Reds owner John W Henry and chairman Tom Werner, he has returned to England.
Dalglish is now set to embark on his summer break, but doubts remain as to whether he will be in charge at Anfield at the start of next season - with some suggesting Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is being lined up as a replacement.
Liverpool won the Carling Cup but their Premier League form was disappointing given the club had invested a huge sum in overhauling the playing staff.
