Park Ji-Sung is still keen to retire at Manchester United, despite falling out of the first-team picture this season.

Park, 31, has often been trusted in the big games by Sir Alex Ferguson in recent years, but he has found appearances hard to come by of late, with just 17 outings this term.

He has just one year left on his present deal and has not been offered fresh terms, leading him to admit he may not achieve his wish of staying with the Red Devils over the next few years.

"I want to retire at United," he said. "But what I want does not always translate to reality."

Speaking about a disappointing season for both his club, who did not win a trophy, and himself, Park said: "I want to forget the past and think about what I have to do in the future."
