David Pizarro says he wants to end his career with Roma following his loan spell with Manchester City.

Former Chile international Pizarro, 32, moved to Eastlands on loan in January but made only one Premier League start and now returns to his parent club.

"I didn't want to leave this year, but my relationship with Luis Enrique was not good and I chose to answer the call of Roberto Mancini," Pizarro told Il Romanista.

"It is my desire to end my career in Europe with Roma and I have come back here to remain. I have one year left on my contract, which I intend to respect with maximum motivation."

Meanwhile, Simon Kjaer's agent says the Wolfsburg defender will only remain at Roma if the deal is made permanent.

Denmark international Kjaer, 23, spent the season on loan at the Stadio Olimpico but agent Mikkel Beck told sporten.dk: "Staying at Roma on loan would not interest the player.

"We will wait until the end of the month, when Roma and the German club will make a decision.

"Until now, we've only been speaking to the Giallorossi. Only if we're told a deal won't be done will we begin to look at other options."
