Wilshere undergoes surgery in Sweden
Arsenal have confirmed midfielder Jack Wilshere has now undergone a "minor procedure" on his left knee as part of his continued rehabilitation from an ankle problem which ruled him out of all last term.
The club confirmed earlier in the month that the midfielder would need the operation, but are still hopeful he will be ready to start the new campaign.
"The 20 year-old midfielder had the procedure in Sweden and will continue his rehabilitation in the coming days back at Arsenal," a club statement read.
"This procedure is not expected to significantly affect Jack's return date in the summer."
Wilshere confirmed on Twitter that he had undergone the surgery and that all had proceeded as hoped.
