Doyle won't consider Reading return
Wolves striker Kevin Doyle insists he will not go back to Reading despite the Royals' recent promotion to the Premier League.
Doyle endured a disappointing 2011-12 season at Molineux, scoring four goals in 33 league games as Wolves were relegated to the Championship.
The Irishman has nonetheless been linked with a return to former club Reading, who he played for in two top-flight campaigns before moving to the Midlands in 2009.
It was thought the 28-year-old could be lured to the Madejski Stadium by the prospect of Premier League football, but Doyle says he wouldn't consider such a move.
"I don't think, personally, you should ever go back," Doyle told Sky Sports. "Everyone says it's never the same. My four years was brilliant and I wouldn't like to ruin that.
"Not that I've had the option, by the way. I've not spoken to Brian [McDermott], just to wish him all the best. They've had brilliant success the last two years and they've come up this year. They've got enough strikers and players."
