Arsenal target Hernanes staying at Lazio

Brazil midfielder and Arsenal target Hernanes has told reporters that he has no plans to leave Lazio this summer, despite constant newspaper speculation over his future.
Hernanes, 26, has been linked with a switch to the Gunners or big spending Russians Anzhi Makhachkala already this summer, whilst rumours had suggested that the Brazilian was keen on leaving the Stadio Olimpico.
The player told Corriere dello Sport: "I don't have any plans to move. I have also heard those rumours but there is no truth in what is being said. I am leaving for Brazil for 15 days and then I will return to Rome to begin pre-season training with Lazio.''
Hernanes joined Lazio from Sao Paulo for £11.2 million two years ago and has been central to Lazio's side since his arrival. In the 2011-12 season, the Brazilian scored eight goals in 31 league appearances for the club.
The Brazilian footballer of the year in 2008, Hernanes has struggled to hold down a place with the national side and transfer rumours had been fuelled by a desire for greater exposure in European competitions.
The midfielder has eight caps for his country.
