Swansea given permission to approach Jones
Wigan have given Swansea permission to speak to their assistant manager Graeme Jones about replacing Brendan Rodgers as the Welsh club's manager.
Jones, who was part of Roberto Martinez's backroom staff when the Spaniard was in charge at the Liberty Stadium, was previously approached by the Swans to take over from Paulo Sousa prior to their appointment of Rodgers in 2010.
Rodgers is expected to be unveiled as the new Liverpool manager at a press conference on Friday morning, after the club reached an agreement with the Swans over compensation for the former Reading manager and three of his backroom staff.
